Sharon began her healthcare career at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, School of Nursing and Hospital. At these facilities, she served as Director of Medical Alumni Affairs and as Special Assistant to the Dean of the School of Nursing.
She went on to serve as Vice President at two other Maryland hospitals, The Union Memorial Hospital and Saint Joseph Medical Center. Her responsibilities included marketing, public relations, fundraising, strategic planning and oversight of several clinical departments.
Following these positions, Sharon initiated her consulting business serving non-profit as well as for-profit organizations with strategic planning, board development, budgeting, marketing, public relations, and human resources.
Sharon has been a frequent speaker at many national, regional and local conferences including the Society for Human Resource Managers, Association of American Medical Colleges, National Committee on Planned Giving, Pennsylvania Museums and Vistage.
She has served on many boards and board committees. Currently, Sharon serves on the York County Rail Trail Authority and chairs their Give Local York committee. She was the recipient of Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business in 2007.
Sharon holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Behavioral Science as well as a Bachelor of Science degree both from The Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.
