Who is HAPevolve?

The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) has been the leading advocate for Pennsylvania’s hospitals and health systems and their patients for just over 100 years. In light of an increasingly changing health care landscape, HAP launched HAPevolve, a wholly-owned subsidiary, to leverage its strengths and develop innovative solutions that helps its members meet their operational, clinical, and financial goals. 

HAPevolve was formed to bring a different approach to finding solutions to some of the industry’s most pressing challenges.

Our Team

Joe Tibbs, MBA

Joe is responsible for the strategy, operations, and growth of HAPevolve. He leads the HAPevolve team in working to address some of the most pressing challenges facing health care today. Joe brings experience from a life-long career in health care consulting and strategic solutions. He is passionate about helping health care organizations successfully transition to the next level of care during a time of significant change. Prior to joining HAPevolve, Tibbs served as vice president of solutions operations for Intalere (formerly Amerinet), a professional supply chain company offering a comprehensive array of services to assist health care providers better manage their non-labor spend and deliver high-level care. 

Joe received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Utah, and his master’s in business administration in strategy and management from Western Governors  When not at work, Joe enjoys satisfying his curiosity around a seemingly endless list of topics.

Lori Mulholland

Lori Mulholland has a strong sales and marketing background and decades of experience across the health care continuum. Her health care foundation began in radiology, but prior to joining HAPevolve, she served in marketing and business development roles for post-acute and sub-acute health care facilities in the central Pennsylvania region, including one startup. She received a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Eastern University, and is a Retired Chief Master Sergeant, having served in the U.S. Air Force and Pennsylvania Air National Guard for 26 years. Lori was born and raised in Carlisle PA where she lives with her husband. She is active in many community charities and enjoys the sheer exhaustion of keeping up with her granddaughter.

Mary Akyol, MHA

Mary is responsible for developing and managing of projects, coordinating team members, and exceeding client expectations to ensure all deliverables are met in an effective and timely manner. Mary joined HAPevolve upon her graduation from the University of Florida’s Master of Health Administration program. During her two-year program, she completed a project with UF Health Shands Hospital where she led a team to assist the supply chain department in transitioning to mobile inventory. She was selected by American Hospital Association’s Institute for Diversity Program and was matched with The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, as an intern where she worked on the product development process for HAPevolve. She also has experiences working with CVS Health, HCA-Medical Center of Trinity in Florida, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Mary received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work and MHA from the University of Florida. Mary is originally from Tampa, Florida and enjoys traveling and being with her family.
