Strongline, a company nationally known for its wearable, discreet staff safety system, has joined HAPevolve, HAP’s solutions subsidiary.

As an industry partner to HAP members, Strongline can provide hospitals with a discreet way for staff to instantly summon help to their specific location to assist the nurse or other health care worker if a dangerous scenario begins to arise.

Strongline, in conjunction with Jefferson Health, has developed a Bluetooth low-energy beacon, typically worn with a hospital identification badge. Hospital staff simply press a small button on the beacon which sends a silent distress alert with their identity and real-time location details to security personnel, as well as other staff in proximity. Rapid response from nearby colleagues dramatically improves the likelihood of timely de-escalation and intervention, reducing the probability of more serious negative outcomes.
